Bargehosue visit and April 27th onwards

At some point over the next week or so, we will be able to visit the bargehouse with Pop (person who was contracted last year to set up show). Who would like to go? Priority will be given to people who have been continually contributing to meetings, events etc.

Just reply to the thread if you are interested.

So, for this week…

Website: Neville, can you email me when is good, I am working on layouts just now, I see you’ve managed to get some changes up on the site already though. (can you phone me please?)

Talks: Stina/Annett can you give me a call/Jackson/Paul. Our first dinner starts tomorrow, we have an awesome lineup and if one of them fits for a talk topic then we’d be more than glad to mention it to them! (Ben cancelled on us as he had too many events to prepare for. I’m sure he won’t do the same with you as I hope it is one of the events he is preparing for)

Jack Wesley: Have you deposited the party money into the account?

Bric a Brac: Same as above?

Update from 14th April

Greetings

In short:

  • there is a party on Monday at The Dolphin (see below for details)
  • The year photo at the moment is going in the direction of a school photo but much more lively and active, maybe even a ‘flash photo shoot’
  • There will be a jumble sale on the 27th April, more detail will be posted
  • If you are available to sell two or three t-shirts/bags to friends and family speak to Louise to do so
  • Talks are on the 8th of may. Buy a ticket.
  • Sponsorship…Not looking great really, need lots of help on this front, Felix/Monica will follow up on this front. Also suggestions for alcohol sponsorship, if you have any speak to Rich.

– Numbered jumper which ties in with website and tagging etc. Put large order in. Jumpers will then be connected to photo, website and exhibition…
Bric a Brac
Essex road 27th April jumble sale. More info released by surya, lea and louise later.
Idea to give everyone 3 t-shirts each to sell individual, shift to friends.
100 total leftish (bags and t-shirts)
Set up a rack/stall to be held outside uni.

Every student has a 3 digit code. Numbers assigned to each student, people can text you direct to your number.
Tagging system done and easy to add.
Aesthetics can now be implemented, show shit on Monday (first day back)
Relevant images of events, posters, photos, promotional materials etc. to be given to Neville

Talks
8th May, G12. Question of price. £7/£10?
150 seats available. Day tickets, individual lectures.

I hope you have had a great couple of weeks. Could we meet on Monday 13th. Tuesday 14th

Be a great chance to get the ball rolling before we get back into Uni and the craze of work! And for young Mou.

I’m guessing not everyone will want to stay for the whole day? So now their are time slots, wooooooo

11.00: Websites
Update on what stage we are at and what you need, I know myself personally I haven’t supplied any of the stuff from Stina’s email, Monday would be a good deadline for everyone to get that in.

12.30: Bric a brac
Update on how its all going, any ideas to take on during term to shift all this gear? Need to get posters up at uni? Or design a stall/space in uni to sell it?

14.00: Year photo

Present the idea. If all ok, fuck off and get the ball rolling.

15.15: Party
General update, is it going to happen? What do you need?

15.30: Talks
How it’s all going to work – tickets, costs, hep? etc.
